Fashion Show!

We are so excited about traveling to NYC this weekend for Bridal Market. Going to market is one of the most exciting parts of being in the business. We will get to see all the fashion shows from some of the top bridal gown designers.

Melissa Sweet and Priscilla of Boston will be offering a live feed of their runway show Saturday evening. The show will start at 7pm, but you can log in earlier for a preshow event. BRIDES.COM AND PRISCILLA OF BOSTON PARTNER TO PROVIDE A BRIDAL WEEK EVENT WITH UNIQUE FRONT-ROW SOCIAL MEDIA ACCESS

On October 17 2009, Condé Nast's premier bridal destination Brides.com (www.brides.com) will be presenting a Bridal Fashion Week marquee event, a two-hour live runway show Web stream with simultaneous Twitter and Facebook display featuring the Fall 2010 collection from the Priscilla of Boston design group. Our team is extremely excited to partner with brides.com again this season to stream LIVE our NYC runway show and be able to add unique social media elements to the mix this season to enhance the bride-to-be's experience.

We invite you to log into www.brides.com/pob to view the fashion event LIVE this Saturday evening. By logging on at 6:30pm EST (3:30pm PST) for the pre-show, users will gain exclusive access into the backstage world of this major New York City bridal fashion show, as Brides.com senior editor Anne Chertoff interviews Priscilla of Boston designers, hair and make-up stylists, and models.

Then, at 7:00pm EST (4:00pm PST), the fashion spectacular will be streamed live via three cameras to capture the runway, plus the scene backstage, allowing brides-to-be an exclusive preview of the newest gowns from Priscilla of Boston. You can also find the link to the LIVE show on the Priscilla of Boston website at http://www.priscillaofboston.com/marketshow.jsp.

Throughout the show brides.com visitors will be able to chat with other brides-to-be, receive insider tips from brides.com editors and win a designer gown and many other prizes.

Our boutique was chosen by Alvina Valenta to house 15 samples for the next month. We are so excited to be able to offer such a large selection of Alvina gowns to our brides. The gowns arrived this morning, and they are stunning. There is so much variety among the gowns. Alvina is known for her beautiful lace, simple silhouettes, and hand beaded details. These elements can be found throughout her collection.

We've had a full schedule of trunk shows over the past few months. This past weekend we hosted a joint Melissa Sweet and Priscilla of Boston trunk show. The gowns were stunning, the brides were awesome and we are so excited for those brides who found their dream gown during the trunk show!

Now that trunk show season is winding down (only 2 left!) we are looking to what's next. In October top designers will showcase their 2010 collections. We are so excited to see what's next for bridal. It's always exciting to see the new trends and styles for the new year.

Alvina Valenta has a new designer joining their team this season, Jessica Williams. Alvina Valenta is a strong bridal collection with a history of presenting timeless beauties to the bridal world. Lea-Ann Belter was kind enough to offer a sneak peak of her newest collection. Lea-Ann Belter is know for her classic silhouettes, beautiful lace details and couture fits. We will be hosting a trunk show for Lea-Ann Belter November 6-7. While these newest gowns will not be available until next spring, we will be showcasing gowns from past collections during the trunk show. For those who are a fan of the Time Traveler's Wife.. Lea-Ann designed the gown worn by Rachel McAdams in the film. This gown will be available for try on during the trunk show!

We need your feedback!

We are currently testing out a new designer. Kiribilla is a Califorinia based designer who creates "classically feminine dresses with a touch of flair." The dresses can be used as bridesmaid dresses, a cute luncheon dress or for your rehearsal. We have a few of the dresses her to sample in our store. Prices seem to range from about $350-$420. Please help us make our decision. We would love to hear your feedback!

We are definitely in the middle of trunk show season! We have several upcoming trunk shows featuring our top designers.

Next weekend we will host a joint Melissa Sweet and Priscilla of Boston trunk show. Our Priscilla of Boston rep, Jessica, will be here at the store next weekend to talk to brides more about the gowns and help with any questions. It is sure to be a great weekend! Alvina Valenta Trunk Show: This Weekend
